Scale Force
Over in the western part of the Lake District, west of the village of Buttermere and above Crummock Water, sits Scale Force.
The valley leading to it heads west but then the gorge that Scale Force sits in joins this from the south, meaning you have to get fairly close before you get to hear it and then see it. But when you do... wow!!
Scale Force is definitely one of those that blows away first-time visitors (see pic!!).
We could combine a visit here with some high-level walking, or keep things low(ish) - your day, your walk!!
