About me

I've loved waterfalls for as long as I can remember. I headed to North Wales with school and my dad first brought me to Cumbria in my teens (so both some time ago!) and that's where it all started. As well as my love of the fells and the lakes, I've always sought out waterfalls whenever I can, both in the Lake District and wherever I've walked.
After working in the retail and hospitality industries for a few decades, I decided it was time to indulge my love of the outdoors by taking people to some of these places for them to enjoy too. I work a lot in the Lake District, often in Eryri, but can be found elsewhere wherever there are hills and water.
I'm a qualified Mountain Leader and I'll be there to look after you and lead the way but also to let you enjoy your day and, hopefully, to learn a little about our walking environment as we go.
I hope you'll join me one day for a wander.

Three of my favourite waterfalls

Allt Dearg Mor, Skye

Sometimes it's as much about the journey as the waterfalls themselves, and this was an epic walk on Skye, from Sligachan up along the Allt Dearg Mor, around the foothills of The Cuillin, and across to Glenbrittle (passing the Fairy Pools along the way too). It rained all day and I was grateful for wearing all the right gear!! An awesome day, with awesome falls all the way.

Gljúfrabúi, iceland

For fans of waterfalls Iceland is a great trip and Gljúfrabúi, despite being one of the smaller ones we visited, was my clear favourite. It's reached by wading a little stream that makes its' way through a gap in the cliffs before opening out into a small cavern. Here you can stand and look up as the waterfall flows down onto you - a magical experience.

Aira Force, Ullswater

There's something about Aira Force that I've always loved. It's easy to get to (great for introducing newbies to the area), the location itself is wonderful (Ullswater is possibly my favourite lake), but I particularly love the bridges that give this place such a great combo of man-made and natural to give such amazing views up and down the falls.
